One of the most widely held beliefs about autistic people is that they are not interested in social connection. In this talk, Dr. Jaswal will explain why this belief is almost certainly wrong, describe some of the devastating consequences it continues to have, and offer some suggestions for supporting autistic children and adults who want to forge connections.
